Roof Warranties Backed by GAF

Every roof we install comes with two layers of protection: a workmanship warranty from Epic Exteriors and an enhanced manufacturer warranty from GAF. As a GAF Certified Plus contractor, we are authorized to register GAF enhanced warranties that are not available through non-certified installers, including the Silver Pledge Limited Warranty.

Here is what each warranty covers.

Our workmanship warranty covers installation errors. If a problem with your roof traces back to how it was installed, we fix it at no cost to you.

• Value and Premium packages: 10-year workmanship warranty
• Ultimate package: 25-year workmanship warranty

Included with our Value package.

The System Plus Limited Warranty covers manufacturing defects in the GAF products installed on your roof, including shingles, ridge cap shingles, starter strips, leak barriers, roof deck protection, and Cobra attic ventilation products.

What it provides:

• Lifetime coverage on your GAF shingles and qualifying GAF accessories. Lifetime means as long as you, the original owner, own your home.
• A 50-year Smart Choice Protection Period. During this period, coverage is non-prorated. GAF covers 100% of the cost of materials and installation labor to repair or replace defective products.
• Tear-off and disposal costs when necessary to repair your roof.

This warranty requires installation of GAF Lifetime Shingles with at least three qualifying GAF accessories, installed by a GAF certified contractor. We handle the registration with GAF after installation.

The System Plus Limited Warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover installation errors, which is why every Epic Exteriors roof also carries our workmanship warranty.

Included with our Premium and Ultimate packages.

The Silver Pledge Limited Warranty includes everything in the System Plus Limited Warranty and adds coverage GAF only offers through Certified Plus and Master Elite contractors: protection against misapplication of your GAF products.

What it provides:

• Everything in the System Plus Limited Warranty: lifetime coverage on GAF shingles and qualifying accessories, the 50-year non-prorated Smart Choice Protection Period, and tear-off and disposal costs when necessary.
• 10 years of misapplication coverage. If GAF products or the flashings at valleys, dormers, chimneys, and plumbing vents were installed incorrectly, the warranty covers the repair.
• Backing directly from GAF. If GAF determines the installing contractor is unable or unwilling to make covered repairs, GAF arranges to have the roof repaired.

This warranty requires installation of GAF Lifetime Shingles with at least three qualifying GAF accessories, installed by a GAF Certified Plus or Master Elite contractor. We handle the registration with GAF after installation.

GAF enhanced warranties require registration, and that responsibility falls on the contractor, not you. We register your warranty with GAF after installation. If you do not receive your warranty documents from GAF within 60 days of completion, contact us and we will follow up.

GAF enhanced warranties may be transferred once to a new owner if you sell your home, subject to GAF’s transfer requirements.
